Post Cursillo Chair

The Post Cursillo Chair will:

  1. Review National Guidelines for the Post-Cursillo Chair as described in the Leaders’ Manual.

  2. Review and adhere to the Secretariat By Laws

  3. Review and adhere to the Secretariat Meeting Ground Rules

  4. Meet with the Rector/a and core team before the Total Security Rollista is assigned to instill the importance and direction of this talk. After team assignments meet with the team member who will be giving the Total Security Rollo on the weekend to insure certain guidelines are met.

  5. Group Reunions (aka Fourth Day)

    1. Assist Cursillistas in finding a Group Reunion (aka Fourth Day)

    2. Maintain and publish active Group Reunion (aka Fourth Day) Lists

  6. Ultreyas:

    1. Coordinate and schedule with Parish Representatives

    2. Perform the duty of Master of Ceremonies (MC)

    3. Develop and /or coordinate an agenda

    4. Coordinate with Host Rector/a.

      1. Opening prayer and meditation

      2. Witness talks (preferably 2)

      3. Music

    5. Coordinate to obtain guest speakers, when scheduled.

    6. Provide a Group Reunion (aka Fourth Day) table at Ultreyas, maintaining a sufficient supply of documents. (e.g. Cursillo brochure, Service Sheet (PSA /Ultreya formats), List of Group Reunions (men or women’s weekend), History of Cursillo, Sponsors Guidelines, Ultreya Schedule and Instructions on the Website/Database to: (1) Update their personal file, (2) Submit an Application to work Cursillo, (3) Submit an Application to Attend Cursillo, (4) To access other information on the website.

  7. Group Reunion (aka Fourth Day) Packets

    1. Maintain sufficient supplies of documents, etc. that go into the Group Reunion (aka Fourth Day) Packets for the Cursillo weekends.

    2. Assemble Fourth Day Packets for new Cursillista’s deliver them to the Rector/a for the weekend.

      1. Team Roster (also provided to and by the weekend team)

      2. Candidate Roster (also provided to and by the weekend team)

      3. Weekend Picture (also provided to and by the weekend team)

      4. Team and Candidates labels (also provided to and by the weekend team)

      5. “Consider Cursillo” brochure

      6. Service Sheet (PSA /Ultreya formats)

      7. List of Group Reunions (aka Fourth Days)

      8. History of Cursillo

      9. Ultreya Schedule

      10. Instructions on how to get into the Website/Database to:

        1. Update their personal file

        2. Submit an Application to work Cursillo,

        3. Submit an Application to Attend Cursillo,

        4. Sponsors Guidelines

        5. To access other information on the website.

  8. Maintain communication with other cultural groups to organize Grand Ultreyas in the Diocese.

  9. Work with the other Secretariat positions to ensure the success of the weekend and the Movement.

  10. Provide articles for the Cursillo Update, as needed.

  11. Assist and update as required, the Rector/a Manual

  12. Attend and participate in all Secretariat meetings and activities which includes:

    1. Thursday night registration for weekends

    2. Weekend Clausura and potlucks

    3. Commissioning of Teams at their Day of Away

    4. Ultreyas

    5. School of Leaders

    6. Other Secretariat activities

  13. Oversee the following coordinators:

    1. Parish Representative Coordinator: Maintain and assist in a Parish Representative Program within the San Jose Cursillo. The goal is to have at least one contact person for each parish in the Diocese, if applicable.
