|“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing.
In all circumstances give thanks,
for this is the will of God for you
in Christ Jesus”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Advent. The time we prayerfully pray and hope in the coming of our Lord, serving God as we do. In these times, too, many pray and hope to an end to this pandemic, systemic racism, and a severely divided nation.
We are accountable to our Lord for our faith and actions. As we pray, wait, and serve, may I please remind you to reach out to those in our Cursillo and greater community. While Christmas may be “different” this year, the need to connect with others is not. Reach beyond your circle, tribe, group, family and consider connecting with someone you may not know well: an email, a phone call, a Christmas card, palanca, or a bag of groceries. Pass on the love and blessings that’ve been given to you. Our Lord will thank you.
We invite our Cursillo community to journey together this Advent. Please join us!

Rita Russo was also pivotal in helping other women discern to become the next Rectora and candidates to become the next Lay Director. You may offer words of condolences and prayer on our Facebook page.
