My Dear Sister and Brother Cursillistas …

“I am taking care of you. Trust Me at all times. Trust Me in all circumstances. Trust Me with all your heart. When you are weary and everything seems to be going wrong, you can still utter these four words: “I trust You, Jesus.” – Sarah Young

I pray this message finds your family and you safe and healthy during these uncertain times.  Trusting in the Lord in times of crisis can be difficult for some.

I seek the Peace of Christ daily.  I find myself relying on Piety, Study, and Action while I shelter in place.  [For my action, I am taking my advice: I reach out to others, check in, and offer any assistance that I might be able to provide.] I’ve been engaged with several 4th day brothers.  My family and I have attended several online and YouTube masses.   These all together help me find Christ’s peace and Trust in our Lord on a daily basis.

I ask each of you to continue reaching out to your sister and brother Cursillistas as they shelter in place; a phone call, a text, or an email might brighten up someone’s day. It may be just what they need to break their feeling of isolation or solitude.

Below in this newsletter you will find:

Also, a heads up…..there may be coming opportunities for additional volunteer and outreach activities. Details are being worked.  I/we will use various communication methods to get out the word.

Please stay healthy and safe.  You are in my daily prayers.

De Colores,

Larry Cargnoni

Spring Weekends Update

Reminder: Spring Weekends are Postponed to Fall

Our Spring 2020 Men and Women Cursillo weekends have been postponed to the fall due to the COVID-19 situation as communicated on March 11, 2020 (see Fall dates below).

Rectora Jennifer Ventura and Rector Chris Lavond both held team formation meetings and explained the situation and decision. Team members are discerning whether they are able to serve the weekend in the fall. We pray that they will.

Both Chris Lavond and Jennifer Ventura discerned and will remain Rector and Rectora respectively. We are very excited they heard God’s call and said “yes”.

The Secretariat contacted the candidates and informed them of the postponement. Some candidates can shift to the Fall 2020, while others requested a shift to Spring 2021. For each, there is a time and season.
