My Dear Sister and Brother Cursillistas …

“O Christ, You are the King of glory!
You are the everlasting Son of the Father.” – From the TE DEUM

On behalf of the Secretariat, I wish you all a blessed Easter Season.  May the peace and grace of our Risen Christ be with you always.

We Cursillistas are an Easter people, but we also are a people of community.   Our faith is strengthened and we support each other when we “journey together” as grace-filled Christians.

I am heartened to know that many 4th Days (aka Group Reunions) are gathering virtually through Zoom or other online technologies.   I also know, however,  that many of you may be looking for a 4th Day Group, perhaps your 4th Day Group has not gathered,  or maybe you fell away from a 4th Day Group (for any number of reasons).

Here is my invitation:

  •  Consider gathering your 4th Day Group together using Zoom or another online technology.  See our Cursillo website for a list of online technologies (http://www.sanjosecursillo.org/covid19/).
  •  If you want to join a 4th Day Group, contact Bobby Montalvo or me (Secretariat)
  •  If you want to start a 4th Day Group or talk about it, contact Bobby Montalvo or me (Secretariat)
  • 4th Day leaders, please consider and invite Cursillistas to your 4th Days

Please join us Wednesday April 15 when we will say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy online  and on Wednesday April 22 when we will say the Rosary – Glorious Mysteries (see below for details).

Please consider helping with Food Distribution – volunteers are urgently needed (see below for details)
Please stay healthy and safe.  You are in my daily prayers.

De Colores,

Larry Cargnoni

Spring Weekends Update

Reminder: Spring Weekends are Postponed to Fall

Our Spring 2020 Men and Women Cursillo weekends have been postponed to the fall due to the COVID-19 situation as communicated on March 11, 2020 (see Fall dates below).

Rectora Jennifer Ventura and Rector Chris Lavond both held team formation meetings and explained the situation and decision. Team members are discerning whether they are able to serve the weekend in the fall. We pray that they will.

Both Chris Lavond and Jennifer Ventura discerned and will remain Rector and Rectora respectively. We are very excited they heard God’s call and said “yes”.

The Secretariat contacted the candidates and informed them of the postponement. Some candidates can shift to the Fall 2020, while others requested a shift to Spring 2021. For each, there is a time and season.
