Work A Weekend?
Being involved in the process of creating a loving environment for a Cursillo weekend allows each of us to become the hands, lips and feet of Christ. It is an incredible, Spirit-filled experience that every Cursillista should have. Spots are limited, so the best way to be on the next Cursillo team is by filling out this application to work.
Please keep in mind that all team members must be able to commit to attending weekly meetings for four months during team formation. Core team members must commit to attending more frequent meetings. Other team commitments include: daily prayer; attending the team Day Away; being present during the entire 3 ½ day Cursillo weekend; providing a meal, prayers and music for the other team during their Day Away and Thursday dinner before their weekend; providing set-up and clean-up for the other team’s post-Cursillo Potluck; and hosting three of the six monthly Ultreyas immediately following the weekend you work. Please also attend the Ultreyas and School of Leaders trainings to prepare for serving on a team.
New Cursillistas are expected to wait one year from making their weekend before they work a weekend. For example, if you made your Cursillo in spring of 2019, you are eligible to work the Cursillo in spring of 2020. However, please attend as many Ultreyas and School of Leaders trainings to prepare for serving on a team.
