“Every
day, I thank God that there are people like you. There is no way we would
survive without your kindness and your help.” – Luis, InnVision resident
Dear friends and family,
Ever made 250 pancakes or 350 scrambled eggs using
a power drill? For some time now, I’ve
been making breakfast for the homeless on Saturday mornings at a shelter for
men called InnVision Montgomery Street Inn in downtown

A group of wonderful
volunteers began serving breakfast here in the early 2000’s. Only about 50
empty bellies were filled at first. But over the years, volunteers have
increased the number of hot meals served, from 600 to 10,000 annually. We now
serve hot breakfast every Saturday of the year.
Additionally, volunteers at InnVision have donated
time and money to make 200 Christmas care packages which include basic
toiletries, underwear, socks, sweatshirts, and rain ponchos. The total cost for this effort is ~$8,000
($40/guest). As you can see, the costs are not trivial, but it truly makes a
difference in the lives of these men.
I am asking each and every
one of you to help me fund one of the Saturday breakfasts. We need
every donation, big or small. It costs
$350 each Saturday to feed 150-170 men. If you are able to help, please make
your tax-deductible donation payable to “St. Julie's – InnVision” and send to
Best wishes,
